Christian Education

Christian Education ministries at Colesville United Methodist Church are real, relevant and relational.  We focus on spiritual formation and growth for new and mature believers of all ages.  Our goal is to change lives with the clear and unapologetic teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ incorporating the Wesleyan model of tradition, reason and experience.

We strive to move beyond routine programs that simply impart information, to reach real people who are going through real life challenges with the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.  We invite all persons to know and experience God through Jesus Christ, to claim and live God's promises and, to grow and serve as Christian disciples.

If you are seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and you want to know more or want to grow more, we invite you to attend any of the following.

On Sundays, Adults have two study options, both at 9 AM.

The Room 25 Group, called Faith Walkers,
will study Adam Hamilton's The Call, about the life, times, travels and work of the Apostle Paul.

The Parlor Group, will embark on a DVD-based study titled "Jesus and His Jewis Influences". Explore the roots of Jesus' actions and teachings within the traditions and beliefs of anceient Judaism.

The Wednesday Afternoon Study Group, will study Acts from Scratch--by Donald Griggs and Paul Walaskay. The group meets at 2PM in the Parlor for a one-hour session. In seven sessions, Griggs and Walaskay tell the stories of the works of Jesus' disciples after his death, resurrection and ascension. It takes a deeper look at the important themes such as the importance of Jerusalem, the centrality of worship and prayer in the life of the community, and the experience of joy.
