We are so glad that you are taking part in this 8-week series of Meanwhile: Living Ready. Jesus promised He would come again — and how we live in the meantime says everything about whether we believe Him. This series rests on five truths:
| TRUTHS | Scriptural Basis |
| Reliable | His words are truth; He is faithful to every promise He’s made. “God is not man, that he should lie” (Num 23:19) … “he who promised is faithful” (Heb 10:23) |
| Relationship | He is coming for us, so we can be with Him forever — He is our hope, now and for eternity. “I will come again and will take you to myself” (John 14:3) … “we will always be with the Lord” (1 Thess 4:17) |
| Restoration | Justice made right, order restored, all things made new. “Behold, I am making all things new” (Rev 21:5) |
| Rule | His return makes unmistakably clear that He alone reigns — sovereign, and gracious toward humanity even as He rules. “… every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Phil 2:11) … “not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Pet 3:9) |
| Responsibility | If all this is true, readiness isn’t optional. It’s our response. “you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming” (Matt 24:44) |
