Hungry Neighbors
The Hungry Neighbors Ministry collects and distributes non-perishable food items to assist those in the community throughout the year. In addition, the Ministry provides Thanksgiving baskets to needy families and collects coats to distribute during the Fall Coat Drive.
CUMC’s Mission & Outreach provided 28 families with food assistance during Advent in 2021. In November 2022, CUMC provided a total of 57 food bags (with $25 Giant gift cards) thru our annual Hungry Neighbors Thanksgiving food program.
•35 food bags went to the local schools we “adopted”.
•22 food bags were distributed to families in our community. is seeking to provide the local community with 30 food bags this Christmas.
This is the most need we have seen & met since the start of this feeding ministry. It would not of been possible without God’s grace, prayer, your food & financial contributions.
NEW REQUESTColesville’s Outreach and Missions Committee is requesting your help! CUMC will once again supply non-perishable food items to our neighbors in need. We are collecting dried, canned or boxed items such as fruits, vegetables, soups, chicken, cake mixes and brownies,
Cereal, Oatmeal, Grits, Breakfast bars, Snack bars, Trail mix, Crackers, Cookies, Boxed mashed potatoes, Baked beans, Individual size Apple sauce, mixed fruit, peaches, pears etc
Individual size (100 % juice) containers (like apple, grape & orange). Items should be placed in the new Hungry Neighbors’ box in the Narthex (outside the doors to the sanctuary).
We will begin to fill food requests for those in need in the next few weeks. Please help stand in the gap for those who are food insecure.
C-4 Christmas Toy Drive

Operation Christmas Child
CUMC Mission and Outreach thanks all who prayed for & provided financial support and/or sponsored a shoebox (es) thru Operation Christmas Child (OCC). A special thanks to Colesville United Women in Faith & United Methodist Men for financially supporting this mission project. Our goal was to donate 25 completed shoeboxes (to include shipping expenses & booklet on Jesus) with a letter & photo. CUMC provided 37 filled up & prayed over shoeboxes!!! Thank you to Joyce Spencer who made a beautiful Scripture bookmark w/CUMC on it for each box. God’s overflow & abundance allowed CeeCee to drop off a total of 55 (filled to the top) shoeboxes.
To God be all the glory!!!
