**COVID Protocols**

Colesville United Methodist Church Modification

Effective July 10, 2022

The Covid-19 pandemic has been particularly challenging.  In returning to in-person services at Colesville United Methodist Church, the reentry team implemented a protocol that was designed to ensure the health and safety of our members and attendees.  Now, in response to changes in COVID-19 dynamics and lifting of restrictions, Colesville can now relax the COVID protocols which we have been operating under.

A survey of United Methodist Churches, and other churches in the area has shown that those surveyed have done away with their COVID protocols. What we are recommending is consistent with what is being done by other churches in the local area.

  • All worship attendees (adults and children) will enter through the Anderson Hall or Heritage Center (Front Entrance) Doors
  • The registration form has been discontinued.
  • The showing of evidence of vaccination is no longer required.
  • The signing of a Wavier of Liability is no longer required.
  • Evidence of a negative PCR COVID Test or Rapid test is no longer required.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available at entrances and exits.
  • If you have any signs of illness (e.g. fever, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, dizziness and other signs of illness), please stay home and join us on line for worship.

N95 or KN95 MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES.  If you forget your mask, the church has a limited supply available and one will be provided for you at the door. Make sure your mask covers your nose and mouth.

There will be a limit of 100 worshippers in the sanctuary and an overflow space provided in Anderson Hall, if over 100 persons are attending.

Social distancing must be maintained as much as possible including seating in the pews.

There will be an offering box in the Narthex to place your offering upon entering.

If you forget, you may go to the Count Room and place your envelope in the box slot in the door.

The Passing of the Peace and Coffee Hour will remain suspended from worship at this time.

The Nursery Service will not be available at this time.

When the worship service has ended, please exit through the sanctuary doors and DO NOT congregate in the Narthex immediately following service.

Thank you.
